Tom Slaughter lived and worked in New York City. He began his career in 1983 where he first exhibited in a group show at the Drawing Center in New York City. He has since exhibited widely in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Canada, Germany and Japan. Slaughter worked as a printmaker in collaboration with Durham Press since its inception and his editions are included in the collections of the MoMA and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
Slaughter has published seven illustrated children’s books, including 123, One Some Many, Over Under, ABC x 3, and Eats. These books have been translated into five languages and have been recipients of numerous awards. He also created beautiful multiples and designs, including a line of wallpaper for Cavern and wonderful paperweights by Maple Mountain Editions in Vancouver. Tom Slaughter also served as the director for the Horace Goldsmith Foundation.
